Hi there, I'm Kinga! Thanks for swinging by. I am a certified yoga instructor, speaker & coach, providing business, wellness, and trauma healing coaching programs based in Vancouver, British Columbia and online. My journey toward the yogic path began once I realized a shift was needed, after investing in a career in acting for 12 years had ultimately left me desiring a new chapter.
Since receiving my 200-hr YTT, I have infused my assertive communication skills, cultivated from my years on the stage and in front of the screen, with my playful teaching style to educate and inspire a variety of audiences as a motivational and educational speaker, and to amenably guide my students through their personal practice, whether novice or experienced. My classes have quickly garnered a following of dedicated students and are known to be fun, informative, and always offer a little something for everyone - whether it's a modification to be more gentle in a pose, or an option to advance, play, and challenge oneself in an asana (posture).
With the Vancouver yoga & fitness community being so strong, I'm grateful and honored to bring forth my knowledge and spunky personality to all practitioners! Always a humble student myself, I am consistently engaged in higher education to expand as a teacher and always look forward to sharing the wealth of tutelage with my students.
I am currently teaching corporate/private classes and leading workshops through Kinga Gorski Yoga, in addition to teaching weekly classes at several Oxygen studios. I proudly received my 200-hr Yoga Teaching Certificate through Oxygen Yoga & Fitness, as well as my Diploma in Acting for Film, Television and VoiceOver from Vancouver Acting School.
Kinga has been teaching yoga classes at our school, St. George's School, since the new term and her positivity, guidance, and compassion make her a truly special and unique educator. She is a fantastic teacher; she provides a challenging but fun practice every session that is always fresh and original and she builds upon every practice so now our students are doing some serious arm balances having started with no yoga experience at the start of the term. In addition, she excels in her instruction and cues which are always clear and keep the students engaged. That enough makes a great teacher, but what is really wonderful is that she spends and equal amount of time focusing on the philosophy of yoga, helping the students find moments to connect with their experiences on the mat with their lives beyond the class in a way that is appropriate for their maturity and experience levels. I really hope we intend to keep her for a) more terms, b) years to come, because she is a rare find. - Natalie Liu, Teacher, St. George's School
My dearest Kinga, you are such an eloquent speaker (even during sad times). You are a gift to this world and one day I see you on huge stages inspiring millions. I think it's so important to keep growing and moving forward to be a better person everyday. We learn so much through good times and also through grief, mistakes and just not so great times. Keep sharing. Keep shining your bright light. Keep living. - Roxanne Low
The biggest challenge I faced with yoga before working with Kinga was being present on the mat. The changes I have seen after working with her are that I am more focused and it's much easier for me to relax and slow down my breathing. I really like that Kinga explains the asanas so that we can understand the purpose behind them. This is important when first practicing yoga. I also love her attitude, her sense of humour and her thoughtfulness. - Sandra Bennett
Special thanks to our guest speaker, Kinga Gorski, who spoke with the group about holistic approaches to stress management. With small actions, such as taking three long deep breaths, we can help reduce our stress levels. Kinga led the group through a series of steps focused on breathing and relaxing the body, and the effects were felt immediately. - Suzanne O'Donaghue, Robert Lee YMCA
"Kinga, I needed this. I needed to remind myself to look inward and take care of myself. I think with today's lifestyle we forget to look after ourselves and therefore we don't look after others and loved ones. I am getting started to love myself again. Thank you." - Saro Boghozian
It's always been challenging to find time during the week to relax. After taking the Beginner Yoga Series with Kinga, I felt really good, relaxed, rejuvenated, less tense and felt good about myself - finding that one hour just for me to do something I really enjoy. No matter what stage you are at yoga, even if you are very, very beginner, you will not feel pressured to do more than you're able to. You can do stuff at your own pace, and I appreciated being adjusted in the postures to be sure we were doing them correctly. The real treat was the few drops of essential oil at the end just to wrap up the whole hour. Great idea with the lavender scented eye pillows. Thank you so much for your great work. - Anna Gorski
You are honestly a breath of fresh air and positivity! I find you very spunky, kind, confident, and extremely grounded and just love to work with you. I have appreciated your support throughout my entire yoga journey and am just truly inspired by your LIGHT! Thank you for sharing your story and giving me the confidence to start on a new journey! You are INSPIRING! - Brea Kane
Yesterday was much deserved, thanks again for a wonderful class! I have to admit I had moments when I was slowly dozing off during our class - I haven't felt so relaxed in such a long time! It's a good reminder for me that even a few minutes of "me" time helps a lot. Thank you. - Faye Nanagad
